Rebuilding lives with dignity and hope

Tara Homes is a nonprofit organization supporting individuals rebuilding their lives after substance use disorder and mental health challenges.

About us

A safe, structured bridge from treatment to independent living

We provide a safe and structured environment to help residents transition from treatment toward independent living.

Our approach goes beyond housing. We focus on creating stability during the most critical phase of recovery by combining structure, continued care, employment pathways and community support.

Our homes align with nationally recognized recovery housing standards, ensuring a safe, ethical and supportive environment.

Our philosophy

Recovery does not happen in isolation.

It begins with safety, but it requires a pathway to sustain it.

Housing is only the starting point

At Tara Homes, we believe that stable housing is only the starting point. Lasting recovery is built through a coordinated system of support, including structure, continued care, employment and community.

A path when stability matters most

Many individuals leave treatment without a clear path forward when stability matters most. We are committed to changing that by creating a pathway that helps people rebuild their lives with dignity and independence.

Meet the founders

Angelica Sharma & Rajesh Sharma

Angelica and Rajesh Sharma are immigrants from India who came to the United States to fulfill their dreams. They consider themselves fortunate to have abundant resources, the support of family and friends, and successful careers.

After 29 years of a fulfilling corporate career, Angelica decided to pursue her vision of social entrepreneurship. She considers herself blessed and ready to give back to society. A problem solver, she is committed to making a positive impact by solving social problems at the grassroots level. That is the genesis of Tara Homes Foundation.

It is named after her grandmother, a warm and welcoming person and an exemplar of kindness. Tara Homes welcomes communities going through difficult times with a glimmer of hope, to rebuild lives together.
